ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Do you know which branch of the Florida government has the power to enforce the laws? Or can you name the governing document replaced by the United States Constitution?
Today students at Crestwood Middle School put their civics knowledge to the test answering a slew of civics questions. It's part of a pop-up quiz show traveling to schools around the state. Two teams of four go head-to-head in a battle of the brains. Eighth grader Solomon Masters proved to be a force for his team, Team A.
"It just comes easy for me," Masters explained. "I just like knowing what happened in the past because you have to know what happened in the past in order to move on."
Masters said he started studying during Christmas break; and today it paid off.
"On my individual ones I just knew," Masters said. The ones where collaborated with our team it was very helpful when they helped."

Seventh grader Amanda Ng competed for the other team, Team B. Ng helped add to the score board, showing off her civics knowledge.
"I wouldn't be like over confident but I wouldn't be like, 'oh I'm not gonna win this,'" Ng said. "I think it's really cool that our school got chosen for something like this because not a lot of schools get chosen to do this."
No matter how confident or how long they studied, in the end their could only be one winner. Team A.
