As details surrounding the brutal murder and dismemberment of Tricia Todd continue to emerge, the Contact 5 Investigators have discovered her ex-husband, the man who admitted to killing her, has had jail deputies on high alert since the day he arrived.

According to exclusively obtained jail records, Steven Williams is assigned to a cell in the Holt Correctional Facility medical ward.

Hours after he was booked and his mug shot posted on Facebook, one comment stood out as a direct threat.  Due to its "severity" and the "suspected source,” records show Williams was placed in protective custody where he remains.

Williams is watched 24 hours a day, seven day a week.  Deputies document his moves every 15 minutes.

On May 29Williams, a U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant, made a fuss when deputies noticed he was "covering himself in his blanket" and "doing something with his mattress."

After Williams was removed from his jail cell, an incident reports shows deputies discovered that he had been pulling out the nylon chords of his mattress.

Williams, who's been on suicide watch since day one, has had few visitors in jail including a few attorneys and police investigators.

Williams has had no visits from or friends, according to jail visitation logs.

His half- brother wouldn't talk on camera but told the Contact 5 Investigators that he and his mom are still trying to process the death of an ex-family member at the hands of one of their own, who has admitted to being behind it.

Under the current plea deal, Williams will spend 35 years in state prison.

The deal was made with Williams if he led investigators to Tricia Todd’s body.

Prosecutors, however, want that deal thrown out since Tricia’s body was  dismembered and when Williams led them to her, they found parts of her body.

Right now a sentencing date is set for June 24 at 1:30 p.m.
